Wall Thickness: Ideally, the wall thickness should be no less than 30cm. If the wall is thinner, such as 27cm, the niche depth should be controlled between 15-20cm to ensure practicality and aesthetics.
Size Matching: The size of the stainless steel niche should be coordinated with the tile specifications, designed as a positive multiple of the tile size to reduce cutting waste and ensure edge alignment.
Height Planning: The height of the stainless steel niche needs to be determined according to the usage scenario. For example, bathroom niches are usually 1-1.2m above the ground for easy access to toiletries; living room display niches can be customized according to the height of the items.
Pre-drilled Opening Height: The pre-drilled opening height for the niche is recommended not to exceed 3 meters. If it exceeds this, it needs to be segmented to avoid limitations in the electroplating process.
Wall Flatness: The inside of the pre-drilled hole must be flat, with an unevenness error of no more than 5mm. Otherwise, it needs to be smoothed with cement or plaster.
Substrate Preparation: A wooden substrate must be prepared before installation to ensure the niche is stable. For embedded installation, a wall hole needs to be drilled or built in advance, and the inner wall of the hole must be flat and vertical.
