Manufacturing process of stainless steel sinks

The manufacturing process of stainless steel sinks involves several key stages, each directly impacting the sink's durability, aesthetics, and functionality.

Stretch Forming Process: Stretch forming is the fundamental process in stainless steel sink manufacturing. It involves stretching stainless steel sheets into the sink's shape using a hydraulic press or stamping machine.

Welding Process:** Welding is used to connect various sink components (such as the sink body and drain outlet, back panel, etc.). Common methods include TIG welding and laser welding. TIG welding uses an inert gas to protect the weld seam and is suitable for plates 0.8-3mm thick. The weld seam width is approximately 2-5mm, requiring subsequent grinding and polishing.

Bending and Cutting Processes: Bending is used to create sink edges, drain panels, and other components. It requires controlling the bending radius (typically 1.5-2 times the plate thickness) and angular accuracy (±0.5°). Cutting processes include laser cutting and waterjet cutting. Laser cutting achieves an accuracy of ±0.1mm and is suitable for complex shapes; waterjet cutting has no heat-affected zone and is suitable for processing thick plates (>6mm).

ssembly and Testing Process During assembly, ensure uniform gaps between components (≤0.5mm) and that the drainage system meets sealing standards (no leakage). Testing includes salt spray testing (480 hours without rust), load-bearing testing (500kg static load without deformation), and drainage testing (flow rate ≥3L/s).
